Epic good food
Those awesome photos just keep coming! So many to load... everyday there are additions... I really don't know how this is going to work out anymore. I'll just make really uber long posts or something. FTW! =D
These last 2 days have just been awesome good food days. Went to Mum's again last night as we had to do many-a-things today, so I decided to just go sleep over.
Before departing to Mum's, Liong (my awesome homie) decided to treat a bunch of us to Sarawak Laksa. YUM. Josh, Anmol, Alok and Kai came over for the meal... and the boys played some Risk afterwards whilst I nerded away in my room. Love ortho. Anyway. The meal was awesome, and the taste was somewhat familiar but foreign. Quite a weird combination of recognition. I think everyone had 2 helpings to Liong's fabulous cooking and we all enjoyed each other's company.

Not seeing dent friends for a week felt like a long time, so it was similar to a reunion of some sort. Teehee... so weird, I see these people more than I see my family.
Not sure if that's awesome. So that was epic food day no. 1. The second number came along at Mum's. She steamed scallops. SCALLOPS. With roe attached. Like O M G. They were so succulent, juicy, large, with beautiful colours on display... man, it was seriously magnificent presentation matched with optimum taste. Unbelievably good. The other dishes were also awesome, but the highlight was definitely those scallops. For the win. Actually... another highlight of the night was the warm dessert soup drink that Mum made. It had dried winter melon, white fungus, Chinese dates, ginkgo and maybe some beans/barley. For the win too. Being in the season of winter, warm watery substances are just so comforting. =)
Tonight we had lamb chops with vegetable and mash, but I'm not really into mash, so I just had the vegetables with lamb. Also YUM, as the lamb was marinated in our all time favourite marinade. Ah... love Mum's.

Today I went to see Lyn, my podiatrist. One awesome, charismatic clinician. My orthotics are fairly ancient, so I thought a check up would be beneficial. Turned out to be valuable. She took new moulds of my feet, and a new pair is being created as I type (well, not literally). The old ones did their magic though, as my feet have been supported better and the outcome of the way I walk now is greatly predictable. Prevention for the win!

Yes, addicted to FTW and FTL. Sigh.
Since we're on the topic of food, I shall load up some other food photos that I have taken over the past week and a half. Tasty.
Uni reopens again soon. Starting to stress already. I really need to learn to relax.
